AG: Higher Standard
昨天在美国Wolf Theater，由艾美奖(电视艺术与科学学院)组织了一个美国众神的Panel。主创基本全部出席，包括Bryan和Michael，还有视效导演、配乐、选角导演等一票幕后。AG的twitter有直播，不过我只写一写我记得的内容，因为昨天在手机上看的时候没记笔记（x

我算了下，也就是每一集就有200多镜，每分钟大概就有5镜左右。果然是用砸的钱。
“每天都完全不同，感觉自己拍了8部电影。”

哈哈哈，没具体说，很好奇！顺便一说之前Ricky提过他为得到影子这个角色面试无数次，面到崩溃。

另外好像是前天？做了一个音频采访，还是比较有意思。不过Michael讲话又快发音又含糊，就不详谈了（。Bryan还是讲了比较有趣的内容，粗翻一下。
Fuller: Well,really they're not necessarily fighting against each other as much as they arecompeting for the same power source — the time andattention of humanity. Old gods have one way that's very narcissistic in thatyou worship them and you project your existential crises onto them to beresolved, whereas the new gods are just distracting you from thinking aboutyour existential crises.
Each of them are playing a different game withhumanity, and it opens up a lot of really interesting aspects about the rulesof this world, since it's based on the concept of thought form — if you believe in something, you can manifest it into reality.That's why these gods exist, and that basic rule gives us a big opportunity togo to some really heady, philosophical places in the future.
There's something interesting about race andentertainment that is so touchy, but what we've seen in America over the lastyear or two — the rampant racism and xenophobia that'sswept the nation — feels like it's people who havepreviously been silent on race issues because they're racist and they knew tokeep it to themselves. But now they're speaking out on subjects of race,they're emboldened to talk about their particular hate or misunderstandings. Sothere's no reason that Michael and I, as storytellers, can't talk about race — not in a similar way, but just as an active part of exploring thethemes of this show.
好吧，虽然他们确实在争夺同样的资源（人类的关注和时间），但我觉得他们也不是一定要打起来的。旧神是非常自恋的种族，他们需要人类的供奉，并且依赖他们来解决自身面对的问题。而新神呢，则是把你的注意力从你面对的危机上引开而已。他们玩的人性游戏路数是不一样的呀~
这开启了一个非常有趣的世界观——如果你真心相信一件事，你就有能力把他变成现实。神就是这样存在的。这也给了我们机会去进行一些非常令人兴奋的哲学讨论。
近一两年美国有一个敏感的文化现象，那就是席卷美国的种族歧视和排外主义。感觉这些人曾经是懂得对这些敏感问题保持沉默的，他们知道这是不好的东西。但现在他们得到了“某种鼓励“公开地表达自己对少数种族或外来人的憎恨和误解。所以我和Michael，作为故事讲述人，也有理由探讨这些问题。
关于观众是否应该在看美众前补补神话故事，Bryan的回答如下：
Fuller: It'sinteresting. When I was studying to be a psychiatrist, my experimentwas, Do you get more out of a movie if you understand the psychologicalsubtext of it or if you're seeing it as a popcorn thriller? The movie"Alien" was the case study — penis-headedmonsters, mothers betraying their children, etc.
Essentially, they're both equally passionate,because you don't know what an image means, but you know that it is pleasing onthe eye. That was interesting during the testing of the show, because they werecurious what people's reactions were, and one of them was that nobody knewWednesday was a god, because we didn't explicitly say it.
That was something we talked with Neil about earlyon, like, Is that a spoiler? Or is it just part of world-building?
这个问题很有趣。以前我还在学习成为一名心理学家的时候，曾研究过类似的问题：当你看一部电影的时候，是做好功课了解他的潜台词好，还是单纯地吃吃爆米花看看就好呢？我当时的案例选择的是电影Alien，里面有很多劲爆的内容——JJ怪，母亲背叛孩子什么的。本质上，这两种观众都能够投入。就算你不懂这个画面什么意思，你还可以不明觉厉嘛（。
这个现象在我们这个剧(AG)播的时候也显得很有趣。有部分观众就是不知道星期三是神的，因为我们没有明确地说出来。这个我们也跟盖曼讨论过，譬如，这算剧透吗？或者说这是构筑世界观的必要剧透？
